AND THEN JUST EAST OF TOWN. SATELLITE RADAR SWEEP SHOWING OFF THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ITS WAY ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA DURING YOUR FRIDAY, AS THE MAIN BAND MOVES THROUGH THIS MORNING. PLAN FOR SOME GUSTY WINDS. THIS IS THE WIND GUSTS FORECAST AROUND 9 A.M. WINDS GUSTING 25 CLOSE TO 40MPH IN AREAS LIKE STOCKTON AT THAT POINT. NOW, ONCE WE GET BEYOND NOON, THE WINDS WILL STILL BE AROUND, BUT NOT AS GUSTY AS, LET’S SAY, THOSE CONDITIONS BETWEEN ABOUT 7 A.M. TO ABOUT NOON, WHEN I EXPECT THAT WE WILL HAVE SOME OF THOSE PEAK GUSTS AROUND THE REGION, RAINFALL AMOUNTS. TODAY, WE’RE GOING TO BE NOTICING BETWEEN ABOUT A QUARTER, MAYBE SOME AREAS PUSHING CLOSER TO HALF AN INCH IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY. EVEN AREAS LIKE STOCKTON AND MODESTO, YOU’RE GETTING IN ON THE RAIN AS WELL AS FAIRFIELD. AND THEN IN THE FOOTHILLS, THERE WILL BE A CLEAR LINE OF WHERE WE COULD SEE KIND OF A RAIN AND SNOW MIX. SO AN AREA LIKE COLFAX, FOR EXAMPLE, LIKELY TO GET AN INCH OR TWO OF SNOWFALL. POLLOCK PINES YOU’RE GOING TO BE ADDING ABOUT 2 TO 3IN OF NEW SNOW. MEANTIME, UP AT THE SUMMIT LEVEL. LOOK AT THAT. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT A FOOT PLUS POTENTIAL, ESPECIALLY IN AN AREA LIKE DONNER SUMMIT, ECHO SUMMIT, AND THEN INTO AREAS THERE AS YOU GET TO KIRKWOOD. FUTURECAST SHOWING OFF WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE WEEKEND. WE WILL STILL SEE SOME LINGERING MOUNTAIN SHOWERS FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING, BUT I THINK THAT THEY’LL REALLY GREATLY SEE IMPROVING ROAD CONDITIONS AS THINGS WILL DRY OUT RAPIDLY AFTER SUNRISE ON SATURDAY. SATURDAY IS DRY. IF YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR SOCCER OR SOFTBALL PRACTICE WITH THE KIDDOS OR AN EVENT TO GO TO FOR SAINT PATRICK’S DAY CELEBRATIONS, WE’RE LOOKING GREAT. SUNDAY WE ARE EXPECTED TO BE WITH THE INCREASING CLOUDS BUT DRY DURING THE DAY. NEXT LINE OF RAIN MOVES THROUGH OVERNIGHT SUNDAY AND INTO MONDAY AND MONDAY. WE’LL HAVE MORE IMPACTFUL WEATHER WITH WIDESPREAD RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW. SO AGAIN, THERE ARE STILL TWO IMPACT DAYS TO GET THROUGH IN THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. THAT INCLUDES TODAY WITH THE BREEZY AND WET CONDITIONS AND SOME OF THAT LOWER SNOW. SATURDAY IS DRY. SUNDAY DURING THE DAY IS DRY AND THEN WE HAVE MORE WET WEATHER MONDAY AND THEN IT CLEARS OUT FOR A LITTLE BIT. TEO AT LEAST TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. I THINK WE’LL SEE ANOTHER SYSTEM ARRIVING THURSDAY AND POTENTIALLY INTO NEXT WEEKEND. SO THING
