STATION SALES
Panama City, FL — Faith Radio Network has filed a $700,000 deal to buy “Kick’n Country 103.5” WKNK and adult hits “Bob 105.1 FM” WASJ from RoRo Investments. Faith Radio Network will operate the stations under a time brokerage agreement until closing. Both FMs will flip to its noncommercial religious format. Faith Radio Network already owns eight full-power FMs in Florida and the two stations will allow it to upgrade its Panama City signals, where it currently airs its Faith Radio format on WPCF (1290) and the Panama City-licensed translator W226CJ at 93.1 FM. And its Spanish-language “Radio Fe” airs on WLTG (1430) and the Panama City-licensed translator W269DR at 101.7 FM.
Montana — Jeff Huffman’s Jacobs Radio Programming has filed a $125,000 deal to buy country KHKM, Hamilton, MT (98.7) from Walter Lancaster’s Legacy Broadcasting. The deal includes a $75,000 promissory note. Jacobs Radio Programming will operate the stations under a time brokerage agreement until closing. It currently owns nine stations in Washinton and Oregon. Once the sale closes, Legacy Broadcasting will still own stations in Georgia and Idaho.
North Carolina — Danny Ickes’s Seacoast Radio Network has filed a $5,000 deal to buy hot AC “Sunny 88.1” WIID, Rodanthe, NC from the Craven County SBA. Seacoast Radio Network already has a pending deal to acquire the construction permit WNBA-FM, Milledgeville, GA (89.3) from Community Public Radio.
Pennsylvania — BYS Solutions has filed a $1,000 deal to buy country “KC-101.5” WDKC, Covington, PA from Kevin Gluszczak’s Mid-Atlantic Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Wellsboro, PA-licensed translator W246AL at 97.1 FM. BYS Solutions is a partnership among Jason Scott, Kayla Yoder, and Jessica Sandstrom, all of whom are current employees at the station. BYS Solutions will operate the station under a local marketing agreement until closing.
Seattle-Tacoma — The Second Amendment Foundation has filed to donate KGTK, Olympia, WA (920) to BJ & Skip’s For The Music Foundation. KGTK is currently off the air. BJ & Skip’s For The Music Foundation already owns adult standards “K-Bird 680” KBRD in the market.
North Carolina — Marta Sanchez has filed to transfer Spanish Christian “Radio Nueva Vida” WRRZ, Clinton, NC (880) to a new not-for-profit called Ministerios La Gloria De Dios. The deal also includes the Clinton, NC-licensed translator W273DP at 102.5 FM. Sanchez controls Ministerios La Gloria De Dios with an 85% voting interest, with minority partners Rocio Ramos, John Ramos, and Edwin Alvarez each holding a 5% voting interest.
CLOSINGS
Amarillo, TX — Corey and Bailey Naugle’s Driven Media has closed an $80,000 deal to buy classic country KQTY (106.7) from Rick Keefer’s Zia Broadcasting. Driven Media already has a pending $280,000 deal to buy classic country “K Triple D 95.3” KDDD-FM and its simulcast KDDD (800) from Southwest Media Group in the Amarillo metro. Zia Broadcasting will still own four stations in Clovis, NM.
New York — Clarkson University has closed a deal to acquire variety “The Source” WTSC, Potsdam, NY (91.1) from Knight & Day, Inc. in a cash-free deal. WTSC is a full-power radio station operated by students at Clarkson University. The station was first licensed to the Thomas S. Clarkson Memorial College of Technology on Oct. 4, 1963. The filing says due to changes in the FCC’s foreign ownership rules, Clarkson may now hold the WTSC license.
